Course objectives:
The programme attempts to provide a comprehensive update on the key advances in a variety of areas of research, both basic and clinical, which underpin developments in approaches to management. It aims to provide delegates with a rounded, interdisciplinary view of the underlying neurobiology, and current approached to the optimal clinical investigation an treatment of cerebral tumours; and bring together those active in basic clinical research with all clinicians involved in the management of patients with brain tumours.

Molecular and imaging biomarkers, with specific reference to their relevance to patient stratification in clinical trials, the development of new treatments and assessment of treatment response in clinical practice

The modern approach to the management of cerebral metastases; this has become an increasingly important topic as more and more patients with systematic cancers are developing cerebral metastatic disease, following the advent of new biological treatments
