Course objectives:
Radiology has made strong progress in sharing clinical information, beyond that of DICOM. Emphasis on clinical value of information is a primary goal of document sharing. The radiotherapy service has had great demands for sharing treatment information, the ability to understand, utilise and shape this technology will have significant benefits nationally.
This meeting will introduce the concepts of XDS and cover IHE in the UK, how XDS can be used in radiotherapy, demonstrate the technology and also look at the manufacturers perspective.
