Graduates/trainee clinical scientists £25,472 Band 6
Appointed onto a fixed-term contract during the training period, usually on Agenda for Change (AfC).
 
Completion of training £30,460 Band 7
At the completion of the training and subsequent experience totaling 4 years, trainees will apply to the Association of Clinical Scientists for a Certificate of Attainment, a qualification which assists the trainee to secure a post in their chosen modality or speciality.
 
Consultant Biomedical Scientist £97,478 Band 9
Posts that usually involve the clinical leadership and management of a department, or a major departmental section.
