Working as a dietitian involves working directly with patients, often on a one to one basis. This requires excellent communication skills, especially as you will need to simplify the information you are giving the client due to its complicated nature. As well as the specialist skills and personal attributes, you will also be expected to boast general employability skills which are a necessity for all jobs within the healthcare sector. These include:

  • Excellent communication and literacy
  • Application of numeracy and information technology
