How to become an Operating Department Practitioner – Employers & Salaries

The main employer of ODPs is the NHS. With relevant experience there is the opportunity to become a senior ODP and run a theatre unit. ODPs also have the opportunity to work in a wide range of areas, including transplant teams, orthopaedic clinics, special care baby units, research, education and training.
