Course objectives:
This symposium aims to update clinicians on the current state of heart failure in the UK. It will cover the size of the problem and recent mortality data for hospitalised patients from National Audits. Potential ways of improving the situation will be identified by outlining the latest NICE Guidance and highlighting novel technologies which may help. Ways of reorganising care to optimise the “Acute Track” for heart failure patients will also be discussed.
This symposium, presented by leaders in heart failure in the UK, provides an excellent forum for clinicians involved in heart failure care to be updated on the main issues and potential solutions to the problem of heart failure in the UK today.
