The module is aimed at healthcare professionals who are involved in imaging the gastro-intestinal tract. The aim of the module is to enhance the student's knowledge and understanding of gastro-intestinal imaging techniques and equipment. The module will facilitate students to focus their study on an aspect of G.I. Imaging that is particularly of interest to them. Predominantly learning will be undertaken in clinical environment with directed study, supported by use of the VLE, aimed at developing the skills to undertake independent practice, clinical tutorials and experiential learning is facilitated by clinical partners. Academic lectures and tutorials, conducted by clinical practitioners, will be used to outline the range of the examination techniques and the evolving role of health care practitioners within this area of practice.
