RCGP Annual Primary Care Conference

Course Date: 7th October 2010
Course Duration: 3 days
Location: Harrogate International Centre
Country: UNITED KINGDOM
Price:

Various (please consult website)

Course objectives:
Now firmly established as the MUST ATTEND event for GPs and practice team colleagues, the conference showcases the latest clinical and policy developments across the UK and brings together an impressive range of national and international speakers.

This year’s theme is sustainable primary care - sustainable in having a central role in the delivery of health care and sustainable in terms of playing our part against global warming.

The RCGP is rapidly approaching its 60th anniversary and is now the largest Royal College by membership in the United Kingdom. The RCGP has helped to support and sustain the best of general practice and even through turbulent times, general practice continues to be at the centre of the NHS. Together we continue to provide the bulk of health care to the UK population and are able to respond to increasing demands and changing needs of patients, PCTs and politicians.

The conference looks at growing healthy partnerships and we continue within the streams of the conference programme to offer a wide choice of sessions for nurses, managers and physicians assistants within the newly launched General Practice Foundation. There is a new stream for newly qualified GPs, while the First5 and the AiTs stream is growing in strength.  We also continue to forge links with external partners – patient groups, charities and government bodies.
