Course objectives:
The emphasis of this study day, already in its third year, aims to provide dietitians with all the practical tools and information necessary to manage the child with food allergies. The programme is supported by doctors from the UK’s two largest Allergy centres.
All areas related to practical nutritional management of the food allergic child are covered by a host of eminent speakers from around the UK. The aim of this year’s study day is to provide an overview of the patient’s journey from diagnosis to treatment incorporating a multidisciplinary approach. Delegates will learn how to interpret allergy tests, implement elimination diets, choose hypoallergic formulae, and how to monitor tolerance.
